Asus Eee Box B202: Our First Look, Plus Official Specs (Only $300)

http://smartech.blogetery.com/files/2008/03/asus-eee-pc-desktop.jpg

due out mid July of next year. 2GB Linux + 160 GB hard drive... plus, aren't these things solid state? (no moving parts on the hard drive), maybe I'm thinking of something else.

I'd love to buy one for everyone I love and a couple for myself.

Games and thinking about games

Commander Keen - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I used to play this game series circa 1992

This software is a fan made deal that uses parts of the old games to , I think, create new levels - this uses SDL? dunno.

DOSBox - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I have a version of this on my xbox, used it to play commander keen for a minute or two. This begs the question: could I make a dos game and then play it on the XBOX? That would be cool, esp. if it accessed the network, perhaps.

The Daily Click
This is a repository for games that people make using the Click and Play platform - I think it's supposed to make game making easy.

I've wanted one of these for a while. Basically it is a handheld that plays pretty much every emulator out there. You can also develop SDL games for it. SDL seems cool cause it can be completely cross platform; like Java?
